OFI-400 Optical Fibre Identifier

- The OFI-400 optical singlemode fibre identifier is designed to detect fibres carrying live optical traffic. This can help avoid cutting the wrong fibre when carrying out network maintenance and alterations
- In addition to detecting the presence of traffic the OFI-400 can also determine its direction
- It can also detect test tones (270Hz, 330Hz, 1kHz & 2kHz) generated by fibre optic light sources in order to identify fibres
- An indication of the optical power level being transmitted in the fibre is also given (without disconnecting or cutting the fibre)
- The instrument is simply clamped on to the fibre. It includes clamp anvils suitable for 250µm, 900µm, 2mm and 3mm jacketed fibres
- Powered by 2 AAA batteries. Supplied in a soft carry case
