FOCIS Flex Wireless Fibre Optic Inspection Probe
- We strongly recommend inspection of all fibre optic connectors before connecting to tester ports and systems
- The FOCIS Flex performs automatic end face inspection of fibre optic connectors to IEC 61300-3-35
- Automated inspection removes the subjectivity of human users (different people may have a different opinion of what constitutes a good polish) and by inspecting to a recognised international standard it provides consistency against a widely accepted benchmark
- Provides simple pass/fail results. Results are stored in memory and full reports can be generated on a PC using aeRos or TRM software. Results can be downloaded by USB to a PC or by Bluetooth to a smartphone
- It is a small instrument that fits in the palm of your hand with its own display
- The FOCIS Flex can be used on its own or it can communicate by Bluetooth/WiFi with other AFL testers including Rogue Certifiers, Rogue OTDRs and FlexScan OTDRs so that end face inspection can be combined with other testing. The wireless communication eliminates the cumbersome USB leads found on similar products
- Images can be automatically or manually focused. Centring of the image is performed automatically
- The connector tips are interchangeable. A very wide range of connector tips are available for all common commercial connectors and many legacy connectors
- FOCIS Flex is supplied as a kit with a bulkhead adaptor inspection tip, a patch cord ferrule inspection tip, battery, charger, USB lead, TRM PC report generating software and a One-Click cleaner in a soft carry case
