Bullet Bare Fibre Adaptors
- Bare fibre adaptors that allow connection of unterminated bare fibres to test equipment such as OTDRs
- Applications include:
- OTDR testing unterminated fibres before cable pulling operations to check cable deliveries before installation
- OTDR testing unterminated fibres after cable pulling operations (civils contractor handover to termination contractor)
- OTDR testing unterminated fibres to check the length of cable left on a drum
- OTDR testing unterminated fibres during cable manufacture
- connecting a fibre optic talk set to an unterminated fibre to provide a temporary communication link during works
- Available with your choice of connector (to suit your test equipment)
- The fibre to be tested is stripped, cleaned and cleaved before insertion into the bare fibre adaptor connector ferrule. Not suitable for test equipment with an APC interface
- The fibre is temporarily clamped in position with a lever on the device
- An optional precision fibre stop is available to assist with butting the cleaved fibre flush with the end face of the connector ferrule of the bare fibre adaptor
- Supplied with a vial of ferrule cleaning wires in a carrying pouch
- Available for FC/PC, ST/PC, SC/PC and LC/PC. Available with singlemode and multimode ferrules
- The connector interface on the Bullet bare fibre adaptors are interchangeable. If you need bare fibre adaptors with different connector styles it is cheaper to buy one bare fibre adaptor and as many interchangeable/replacement connector attachments as you require
